Fragments of Becoming
Fragments of Becoming reflects phases in my journey toward artistic authenticity. It begins in the hardest and darkest place—chaos, self-doubt, fear, and the nagging question: Can I even do this?
Creativity calls, but old wounds and limiting beliefs push back. Yet, even in the darkest moments, seeds of hope are quietly growing beneath the surface.
Then comes the need for grounding—a pause to make sense of things. But safety can be a trap. I hold onto past work that once felt safe but no longer feels true to me. Deep down, I know I’ve outgrown it. I am afraid to step forward but unable to turn back. I linger in the in-between, hiding from who I’m becoming. Still, that tiny spark never leaves.
Structure and overthinking bring their own struggles, and soon, mental blocks appear. But this time, something shifts—I grow stronger.
Finally, creative freedom peeks through. It isn’t fully blooming yet, but it’s pushing through and toward creating from the heart and embracing the twists and turns ahead.
This piece is just a snapshot of a much longer journey. Where does it lead? I don’t know. But it was time well spent because the struggle brought me closer to who I am.
